the Preboil, and final gravity in this recipe is wrong you should have a preboil of about 1.049 because we added the honey at flame out the gravity went to 1.065 as it states, also the final gravity is more like 1.018

In bottle for 3 weeks, tasting notes

the poor is clean but a dark brown with burgundy notes in the color, a pillowie tan head 1.5 finger on the nose, pepper and honey, caramel notes. alcohol high but masked with the sweetness from the mash temp selection but is not thick on the mouth feel, as the it lingers between sips you can definitely pick up the pepper, it's not over powering but works in conjunction with the alcohol backend. the flavor is balanced sweetness, very little hop aroma as it is over powered by the pepper and the yeast ester. all in all a decent beer. I would brew this again, but I would not change anything at all it's right about what intended it to be.

one addendum is that I added 1/2 once of crushed black pepper in the bottling bucket
